Led by highly trained specialists, our surgery teams offer a range of complex surgical solutions for dogs and cats. Our surgical services include soft tissue, orthopaedic, trauma, reconstructive and neurological surgeries. Our specialists take a considered approach to every case and provide a specialised treatment plan that best suits their patients and clients. Medicine

Our internal medicine specialists are highly qualified experts in both canine and feline internal medicine. They work with referring vets to provide the best possible care for patients who are critically ill or have chronic, ongoing health problems. They treat a broad range of cases, including gastrointestinal disease, cardiac and respiratory disease, kidney and liver diseases, endocrine problems, immune-mediated issues, and joint disease. Oncology

We understand the difficulties associated with treating a pet with cancer. It is an extremely emotional and overwhelming time for clients, and many pets can require prolonged treatment and regular visits to hospital. Across the Animal Referral & Emergency Network, our experienced specialist veterinary oncologists work with referring vets and clients to formulate the best diagnostic and treatment plans to help their patients.

 

Regular hospital visits for treatment are not always feasible due to distance or lifestyle constraints. At some sites, we also offer an online oncology service where our oncologists remotely support vets managing cancer patients that visit their clinic.

Dermatology

There are hundreds of different diseases that can affect an animal’s skin. But because skin can only react in a limited number of ways, many of these diseases appear very similar and can be challenging to identify. Our specialist dermatologists and experienced vets have completed advanced training in dermatology and can formulate the most direct and cost-effective diagnostic and treatment plans to help their patients. While most of our practice focuses on referral cases in dogs and cats, our dermatologists also consult on equine, exotic and wildlife cases. They are actively involved in research and keep up to date with the latest developments in veterinary dermatology. Neurology

Across the Animal Referral & Emergency Network, our neurology specialists provide comprehensive clinical neurology and neurosurgery services. We have access to advanced imaging capabilities (including MRI and CT), electrodiagnostics (EMG and NCV), and hearing testing (BAER) to help diagnose neurological disorders. Our neurology surgery specialists have extensive experience performing brain and spinal surgeries, including ventriculoperitoneal shunt placement, brain tumour removal and decompressive spinal cord surgery. Behaviour

Our network features some of the best animal behaviour specialists, bringing more than 25 years of experience in the field. Most behaviour problems found in pets are due to neurochemical imbalances in the brain that need to be normalised; therefore, in some cases, medication is necessary. Our methods are kind and humane to both pets and their owners and focus on reward-based methods. Dentistry

Veterinary dentistry is the branch of veterinary medicine that deals with the diagnosis, prevention, and disease treatment of an animal’s teeth, gums, and other structures of its mouth. Dental hygiene and health for your dog or cat is just as important to their overall health and quality of life as it is to yours. And just like our teeth, dentistry is all about prevention. Our network has specialists that deliver a variety of both preventative and corrective procedures, including dental radiography, repair of fractured teeth, root canal therapy, placement of dental crowns and implants, facial fracture repair, and advanced extractions with the use of biosynthetic bone grafts.

Opthalmology

Our dedicated ophthalmology specialists are highly experienced in treating eye diseases in animals. They use advanced equipment and techniques to diagnose and treat various conditions that affect the eyes and vision. 

Ophthalmology services available in our network include diagnostic and treatment of ophthalmic disorders; extra ocular surgeries (including eyelids, conjunctiva, cornea); intraocular surgeries (glaucoma, cataracts tumors and some retinal procedures).

While the majority of our work involves companion animals, other species can also be considered for ophthalmic assessment and treatments.

Critical Care

Our emergency and critical care departments are run by specialists offering a high level of patient care, diagnostics and intensive care medicine.
