Amazing and caring service. Our big Rottie sliced his foot open, severing a vessel and nearly amputating his toe; he required surgery. They were so understanding that he is a nervous boy and did everything to make him comfortable during this traumatic time. We are so appreciative of the care they gave our boy. Thank you.

We went to the vet and they were extremely professional, caring, and compassionate towards our family. They kept us informed every step of the way about what was happening with our beloved dog and made the entire process as smooth and comfortable as possible for us. They took such amazing care of our beloved dog and ensured he was comfortable at all times. We are incredibly grateful for the kindness, empathy, and support they showed during such a difficult time.

Nurses are so sweet they will honestly make you cry in happiness. Unsure on their names but there was three girls who were treating our dog, talking to us with so much respect and giving us constant updates, allowed us to call whenever throughout the night and photos were sent whenever we asked. Knowing our little girl was in the best care made it so much more of an ease to sleep at night. This kind of service needs to be recognized you dont get this anywhere else anymore. Forever will be my go to emergency vet

Our services

Our facilities and vet services function as an extension of your family Midland veterinary clinic after regular business hours, providing you with a thorough assessment and tailored plan that is appropriate to your specific circumstance.

We take pride in our services

Our practitioners provide world-class medical care in surgery, radiology, pathology, and pharmacy, and will talk you through a range of treatment options for your pet.

Our consultation rooms are designed to be a simple, soothing environment. They are used for the initial assessment of less critical patients and discussions with owners prior to admitting animals for treatment. More critical cases will be transferred directly to the treatment area upon arrival.

Our surgery suite is equipped with advanced anaesthetic and ventilation machines complete with full monitoring equipment (including blood pressure, SpO2, PCO2, body temperature, ECG), heating facilities, suction machines and more.

All hospitalised patients are monitored continuously throughout their stay, with vets and trained personnel on duty at all times. Your companion stays in a comfortable, clean cage visible to all of our staff. We discourage toys and blankets from home – with the high amount of traffic at our hospital, it is difficult to guarantee they will return home.

Our intensive care unit contains sophisticated monitoring and diagnostic equipment to look after the most critical of our patients. Our ICU is staffed by experienced emergency veterinarians and critical care nurses, providing round-the-clock monitoring and life-saving treatment for critically ill or injured pets. With access to advanced diagnostics and state-of-the-art life-support equipment, we tailor care to each patient’s needs. Our priority is to stabilise, support, and give every pet the best chance at recovery.

We are fully equipped to run full blood profiles, clotting tests, microscopy, urinalysis, blood gases, electrolytes, haematology and more to ensure we obtain fast results, usually within minutes. This enables fast and accurate diagnosis and treatment.

We are equipped with x-ray machines and an automatic processing and developing machine. Our radiology team utilises advanced imaging technology to quickly and accurately diagnose a wide range of conditions. Digital radiography allows for high-quality images with minimal exposure time, ensuring a safe and efficient process for your pet. These detailed scans help our veterinarians make informed decisions, leading to faster treatment and better outcomes.

We have a full range of emergency medication, including blood transfusion products and antiserums for snake bites and paralysis ticks.

You may not have ever thought about it, but just like humans, some sick pets need blood transfusions, too.

Some accidents and illnesses cause such catastrophic blood loss that we need to supplement your pet’s own blood with a donation from another animal.

These blood donations are often life-saving, and recipients go on to make a full recovery.

Not all dogs are appropriate for blood donations though, and we need to ensure the health of the donor is not compromised by participating.
