Dr Vanessa Lian

Dr Vanessa Lian joined AEC Woolloongabba in 2022 and brings a strong background in veterinary emergency medicine. They graduated from Murdoch University in Western Australia with a Bachelor of Science in 2017, followed by a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2019. Always striving to expand their knowledge, they completed a Graduate Certificate in Emergency Medicine in 2022 and achieved Membership with the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists (ANZCVS) in Emergency Medicine in 2023. Passionate about problem-solving, Dr Vanessa Lian enjoys the challenge of working up complex cases and uncovering the reasons behind a pet’s illness. Their professional goal is to continue developing in the field of emergency medicine, with an interest in pursuing further specialisation—potentially in ultrasound or radiology. Outside of the hospital, you’ll likely find Dr Vanessa Lian bouldering at a local rock climbing gym, embracing the same focus and determination they bring to veterinary care.
