Dr Emily Pritchard

Senior registrar in Feline Medicine

  • BVSc Hons MANZCVS
  • Medicine
Emily is a senior registrar in feline medicine having completed a residency at the University of Sydney. She is passionate about improving feline health and welfare and is a strong advocate for building both feline friendly and feline aware practice. She has a Masters on genetic disease in cats and has published and presented on a wide range of feline medicine topics including fungal diseases, genetics, FIP and urinary tract disease. She has obtained prizes for the best feline medicine abstract and best feline welfare essay. Emily believes in expanding treatment options and disease diagnosis for cats, including looking for opportunities to apply best practice medical innovations across species to feline practice. She has five gorgeous domestic shorthair cats (Peanut, Marmalade, Zac, Fezzie and BB) who are all very closely bonded and show that a multicat household can be cohesive, stress free and really really noisy when five cats purr at the same time. She loves that every cat is so very different and always completely nuts.
