Minimally invasive urinary procedures at Veterinary Referral Hospital (VRH)
VRH Dandenong is excited to announce the availability of cutting-edge, minimally invasive urinary procedures, in conjunction with existing essential imaging and cystoscopy services. These minimally invasive procedures reduce morbidity associated with surgical alternatives and enable diagnosis and treatment within a single procedure, often conducted on an outpatient basis. Procedures include fluoroscopy-based imaging, ectopic ureter laser ablation, and ureteral and urethral stenting. This service is led by Dr Matt Munro, DVM, DACVIM (SAIM) Board Certified and Registered Small Animal Internal Medicine Specialist.
Dr Matt welcomes vets to contact him via email at medicine@vrh247.com.au for referrals or free case advice.

Summer alert! Bee venom desensitisation at Adelaide Veterinary Specialist & Referral Centre (AVSARC)
Do you have a patient who has suffered an anaphylactic reaction from bee or wasp stings? They may be a suitable candidate for a desensitisation treatment with Dr. Andrew Carter BVSc (Hons), Diploma in Veterinary Dermatology at AVSARC. Helping to mitigate the risk of severe reactions, this treatment has not been readily available in Adelaide until now. The patient undergoes an intradermal test with bee or wasp venom to confirm a diagnosis, followed by a tailored inpatient or outpatient desensitisation program.
