  • Emergency
Dr Naomi Clarke is the Lead Veterinarian at AEC Woolloongabba, bringing extensive experience across general practice, surgery, and emergency and critical care. Naomi graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in London in 2009 and began her career in mixed practice in Port Augusta, South Australia. She went on to work in general practice across the UK and Australia between 2011 and 2016, building a strong clinical foundation before discovering her passion for emergency and critical care. Since 2016, Naomi has worked predominantly in ECC, a field she finds both challenging and deeply rewarding. Naomi holds Membership of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in Small Animal Surgery (2018) and in Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care (2021). She also completed a Graduate Certificate in Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care through The University of Melbourne in 2020. Naomi’s history with AEC spans multiple leadership roles. She joined AEC in 2016 as an Associate Veterinarian, progressed to Lead Veterinarian and then Veterinary Director, before taking time away in 2018–2019 to travel around Australia in a caravan. She has since returned to AEC Woolloongabba as an Associate Veterinarian, bringing with her renewed perspective and a deep connection to the hospital and its team. Outside of work, Naomi enjoys football (soccer), running and hiking. She shares her life with George, a red cattle dog, and Frank, a ginger tabby cat.
