  • Emergency
Dr Keely Sayer is a compassionate and dedicated emergency veterinarian with a strong passion for critical care. After earning her Bachelor of Veterinary Science in 2022, she completed a rotating internship at the University of Queensland, working predominantly with the critical care team. During this time, she cared for a wide variety of complex cases and developed advanced skills under the guidance of a specialist-led team. Keely joined the Animal Emergency Centre following her internship, drawn to the fast-paced and rewarding nature of emergency medicine. She has a special interest in managing critically ill patients and has a special interest in immune-mediated conditions, transfusion medicine and treating snake envenomation. Originally from New Zealand, Keely has lived in Australia for over 15 years. At home, she enjoys cuddles with her cat Bruno, who she’s raised since he was six weeks old—he’s especially fond of curling up under the covers during winter. BVSc, GradCertECC
