AEC Frankston were amazing, giving Albert all the care in the world to ensure he made a speedy recovery. They were always on the phone to answer any questions during his 48-hour stay, which meant so much to me. Dr Sam and the wider team made me feel completely at ease throughout his visit, and Im incredibly grateful for their compassion and professionalism. Ive seen some negative comments about long wait times, but its important to remember this isnt a normal vet its an emergency vet hospital. Just like a human emergency hospital, patients are triaged based on the urgency of their needs. If your pet needs urgent after hours care, I wouldnt hesitate to recommend AEC. You can trust that your pet, and your family, are in safe and capable hands. Thank you again for everything you did to get Albert home safely

We rushed our bloodhound to Frankston AEC on Sunday 11 January. After he had a seizure and was quite unwell. The care we received from the Veterinary nurse on arriving to the lovely female Vet was amazing. Everything was explained to us, they were reassuring, calming and so efficient in dealing with Milos condition. Super impressive care, and Milo is doing well. Thankyou

Our beloved Wiz suddenly deteriorated without us knowing what to do, where to go and what was wrong. We brought him here and were met with understanding, compassion and honesty by Both Dr.Sam And Dr.Jacqui. As much as the news delivered wasn't what we wanted to hear, they were both so kind and reassuring making the world of difference in a moment that will forever be embedded in our minds. Thank you all for the kindnesses and compassion you showed Wiz and the family, in what was one of the hardest moments of our lives. Kind regards, The Rawlyks

Our Animal Emergency Centre in Frankston is designed to function as an extension of the services already provided by your family veterinarian. We provide state-of-the-art emergency and critical care facilities, experienced emergency and critical care veterinarians and nurses, ventilators, diagnostic equipment, x-rays, ultrasound, endoscopy, blood pressure monitoring, respiratory monitoring, a pharmacy, lab services and an isolation room.

Our consultation rooms are designed to be a simple, soothing environment. They are used for the initial assessment of less critical patients and discussions with owners prior to admitting animals for treatment. More critical cases will be transferred directly to the treatment area upon arrival.

Our surgery suite is equipped with full monitoring equipment (including blood pressure, SpO2, PCO2, body temperature, ECG), heating facilities, suction machines and more.

All hospitalised patients are monitored continuously throughout their stay, with vets and trained personnel on duty at all times. Your companion stays in a comfortable, clean cage visible to all of our staff. We discourage toys and blankets from home – with the high amount of traffic at our hospital, it is difficult to guarantee they will return home.

We are fully equipped to run full blood profiles, clotting tests, microscopy, urinalysis, blood gases, electrolytes, haematology and more to ensure we obtain fast results, usually within minutes. This enables fast and accurate diagnosis and treatment.

We are equipped with a CT machine, x-ray machines, ultrasound, endoscopy and an automatic processing and developing machine.

We have a full range of emergency medication, including blood transfusion products and antiserums for snake bites and paralysis ticks.
